Vadodara, May 31: The wait is finally over for cricket lovers in the city! Baroda Premier League (BPL) Season 2 is set to kick off with a grand opening today, bringing back the electrifying atmosphere and high-octane T20 action that made Season 1 a massive hit.
Five powerhouse teams — Alembic Warriors, Ami Super Avengers, A4 Power Strikers, Diamond Dazzlers, and Pruthvi Panthers — will battle it out on the field. Thanks to the exciting auction format, every squad is stacked with talented and experienced players, promising nail-biting contests and top-class cricket throughout the tournament.
All matches will be hosted at BCA Stadium, Kotambi. The opening clash today pits defending champions Alembic Warriors against Pruthvi Panthers. Toss is at 2:00 PM, with the first ball scheduled for 2:30 PM.
In the evening double-header, last season’s runners-up Ami Super Avengers will lock horns with A4 Power Strikers. Toss at 7:00 PM and match start at 7:30 PM.
The action continues on June 2 with Alembic Warriors facing Diamond Dazzlers in the afternoon (toss 2:00 PM) and Pruthvi Panthers taking on A4 Power Strikers in the evening (toss 7:00 PM). The tournament will run until June 14, with every team treating fans to their unique anthems for an unforgettable experience.
Adding extra glamour to the occasion, Bhavesh Gohil, President of Kenya Cricket Board, will grace the event as a special guest.
