Vadodara Airport Post Office inaugurated by Devusinh Chauhan, Minister of State for Communications-Government of India



This PO will provide all the postal facilities to the staff of Airport as well as visiting passengers and customers at Airport

Vadodara Airport Post Office has been inaugurated by Devusinh Chauhan, Minister of State for Communications-Government of India on 16.08.2022 Tuesday. MoSC has graced the occasion by handing over passbook to the depositor of first POSB account opened at the newly opened Vadodara Airport Post Office.

This post office will be the mark of presence of the Department Of Posts in the premises of Airport. This PO will provide all the postal facilities to the staff of the Airport as well as visiting passengers /customers at Airport.

This PO will provide savings bank facility to the staff of Airport and visiting customers. They will be able to deposit money in various schemes of the Government like Savings Bank, Time Deposit, Recurring Deposit, Sukanya Samrudhhi Yojana, Public Provident Fund, National Savings Certificate, Kisan Vikas Patra.
This post office will be equipped with the facilities of India Post Payments Bank which will save the time of the people at Airport by providing service of Aadhaar Enabled Payment System through which people can avail the facility of withdrawal from their account available in any of the banks.

It will provide facility of Packaging and dispatch of Excess baggage anywhere in India through Speed Post Parcel facility in cost effective manner. For instance, A 5 Kg of excess baggage when booked through any airlines, it costs Rs 2750/- to 3000/- whereas same baggage when booked through India Post will cost at around Rs 545/- to Rs 710/-.

It will also provide the service of “My stamp” through which the customer can have the personalized stamp with his/her photograph along with selected template sheet of Postage stamp. People can keep such “My stamp” as Souvenir.

As such, this post office will play a vital role in providing essential services to the people as well as staff working at Airport. Higher officers of Department of Posts, Jitendra Gupta-CPMG Gujarat Circle, Priti Agarwal-PMG South Gujarat Region, Dr. S. Shivram, Director Postal Services Vadodara as well as T.K.Gupta, Director Airport were present during the occasion.
