The Chief Minister flagged off the 10th edition of the Vadodara Marathon. As soon as the marathon started with the sound of the band, the athletes passing from the front of the main stage welcomed the Chief Minister. Along with starting the various categories of marathons, the Chief Minister gave a warm welcome to all the athletes and introduced his friendly and gentle side.

Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the people have become participants in the ongoing marathon of development in the country. The Prime Minister’s confidence in this development is reflected in the results of the recently held elections. Shri Narendra Modi’s leadership has seen enormous public support. Our responsibility towards the development of Gujarat has also doubled now, he added.

The Chief Minister was overwhelmed to see the enthusiastic participation of the citizens of Vadodara in this marathon for the purpose of realizing the Fit India resolution of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The Chief Minister said that the enthusiasm of the citizens of Vadodara towards the marathon is commendable. The fact that such a large number of people are participating in the marathon at a time when they don’t feel like getting out of their warm beds in such a cold winter shows the passion of the citizens towards their own health and fitness.

The Chief Minister also said that the vision of a Fit India given by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is being realized through such a marathon. He expressed that Fit India Movement will become more widespread in Gujarat and the entire country in the coming days.

Before this, Shri Harsh Sanghvi, the Minister in charge of the marathon, ran a marathon himself.

As many as 62,000 citizens registered for this time’s Mahadod, and the race for the disabled also became a center of attraction. Some athletes also ran with prosthetic legs, while some disabled people also ran with tricycles and chariots. Their enthusiasm was truly admirable. Everyone, old and young, participated in this grand race.

On this occasion, Mayor Shri Keyur Rokadia, Chief Whip Shri Balu Shukla, MP Smt. Ranjan Bhatt, MLA Shri Yogesh Patel, Smt. Manisha Vakil, Shri Chaitanya Desai, Leader Shri Vijay Shah, Smt. Tejal Amin of the organizing body, Shri Sameer Khera, Collector Shri Atul Gor, Municipal Commissioner Shri B. N. Pani and office bearers were present.
