While congress is yet to declare the full list of candidates for municipal corporation elections in Vadodara. 61 candidates from BJP , Congress and AAP filed their nominations at the Collector office and Narmada bhuvan on Friday.

The heavy weight candidates who filed their nominations on Friday include Chandrakant Srivastav from Congress,Keyur Rokadia from BJP, Mahavir Purohit, Kalpesh Patel (Jay Ranchhod) etc.
Out of the 61 nominations filed today 33 candidates from BJP filed their nominations, 12 candidates from Congress and 13 candidates from AAP have filed the nomination today.While 03 independent candidates also filed their nominations .
Out of these Bhumika Rana is the youngest candidate from Ward no.7 who wil be contesting for the elections at the age of 22 years and 10months.
Bhumika ,who has studied Civil Engineering is a ardent follower of BJP, and has witnessed the political happenings since her childhood. Her father has been actively involved in BJP since more than a decade.
She will fight the election along with Manoj Patel,Bandish Shah and Sweta Chauhan.
Talking to The Barodian ,Bhumika said, “It was a mega surprise for me and my family when my name was declared as one out of 04 candidates from ward no.7. I will work for the development of my ward. When asked about her role model in politics ,she said “I admire Rajendra Trivedi Sir since year as a politician.
On other side, inmidst of outrage Kalpesh Patel along with Shailesh Patil and other female candidates reached the collectorate and filednomination without any hue and cry .
