The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of Gujarat, announced the formation of Child Welfare Committees for various districts. Advocate Mehulbhai Lakhani has been appointed as the Chairman of the Child Welfare Committee for Vadodara District.
Mehulbhai Lakhani currently serves as a Mahamantri in the Vadodara Metropolitan Unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He has previously held positions as Vice President and General Secretary as a student leader at M.S. University. He has also served as a Senate Member and Syndicate Member at various universities. Before entering the legal profession, he worked as a teacher in a school under the Municipal Primary Education Committee. His educational background in law and experience working with children will be valuable in fulfilling his responsibilities as Chairman.
Other members appointed to this committee, who are active in the Sangh Parivar, education, and social sectors, include Dr. Sandeep Shah, Jigar Kumar Pandya, Brijeshkumar Patel, and Monika Yajnik.
