Guwahati: Registered Pharmacists of the state on Thursday demanded action on illegally running pharmacy business in Guwahati.
In a day long meeting of Pharmacists who are registered under the Pharmacy Council of Assam appealed the state government to conduct an inquiry to find out and punish the persons who are illegally running pharmacy business across the state.
The meeting was held in the conference hall of Assam Pharmacy Council here under the aegis of Association of Advanced Pharmacy Practitioners ( AAPP ) .
“The government should conduct the inquiry by the chief minister’s Special Vigilence Cell or other independent investigation agencies,” it stated .
It was also urged in the meeting to the state government to take all necessary measures to conduct the election of Assam Pharmacy Council.
The decision was taken to move the Guwahati High Court to conduct the election if needed.
