GUWAHATI, NOV 5: Dibrugarh police has announced a cash reward of Rs 50,000 for anyone who provides information related with the pistol which was used by assailants during the attack carried out on Siddhartha Rajkhowa, an employee of a Dibrugarh Court on the evening of October 31 at Laluka area on the NH-37 in the outskirts of Dibrugarh town.
Rajkhowa was injured when he was shot by motorcycle-borne assailants while he was returning home on his motorcycle. Police have so far arrested 4 persons namely Pradipta Rajkhowa, Pradip Rajkhowa, Rontu Gogoi and Pronob Gogoi in connection with the incident.
A blank cartridge of a fired from a .22 pistol was also recovered from the site. However, till date the police has failed to recover the weapon.
